1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Ty Harrisons Hope For Suicide Survivors, Inc (“we,” “us”) is a Pennsylvania 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This policy explains what information we collect through tyharrisonshope.org, including our event registration and donation forms,  how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: info@tyharrisonshope.org.

Our merchandise store is operated by a separate vendor on its own website and has its own privacy practices; this policy does not cover it.

2. Information you give us

When you register for an event, donate, or contact us, we collect what you provide:

  • Name, email address, and phone number.
  • Your registration details: pass type, group size, ride participation, corn hole team reservation, camping, and similar event selections.
  • Donation amounts and donor information, when you donate.
  • Anything you include in emails or messages to us.

3. Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card or digital wallet details go directly to Stripe, we never receive or store your full card number. To process your payment and our records, we share with Stripe your name, email address, and a summary of what you purchased. Stripe sends you a payment receipt by email and handles your card data under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. Stripe is certified to the highest level of payment industry security standards (PCI DSS Level 1).

4. Information collected automatically

  • Security: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects device and interaction data under the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Analytics: we use website analytics (Google Analytics) to understand site traffic; pages visited, general location, device type. This uses cookies.
  • Hosting and logs: our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records standard server logs, including IP addresses, and our site uses performance cookies for page caching.
  • Embedded content: some pages may embed third-party content such as maps or videos (for example, Google Maps or YouTube). Embedded content loads from the third party and may set its own cookies under that provider’s privacy policy.

5. How we use your information

  • To process your registration and payment, and to email your confirmation and tickets.
  • To run the event: check-in lists, tournament rosters, camping lists, ride-day operations.
  • To send you event communications, updates, preparation details, and day-of information.
  • To send occasional emails about this and future events or fundraising. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your registration.
  • For recordkeeping, accounting, tax, and legal compliance.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Ever.

6. Who we share information with

  • Service providers that make the site and event work: Stripe (payments), Hostinger (website hosting and the email service that delivers our confirmations), and Google (form security, analytics, and spreadsheet tools we use to manage registrations).
  • Event volunteers and organizers see operational lists (your name and what you registered for) to run check-in and event activities.
  • Authorities, if required by law.

We share only what each purpose requires, and these providers are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.

7. Your email choices

Transactional emails (your confirmation, tickets, and receipts) are part of your purchase. Marketing and event-news emails are optional, use the unsubscribe link in any of them, or email info@tyharrisonshope.org and we will remove you.

8. How long we keep information

We keep registration records as long as needed to run the event and for our nonprofit financial records, which we retain in line with IRS recordkeeping requirements (generally up to seven years for transaction records). We delete or anonymize information we no longer need.

9. Security

The site uses HTTPS encryption throughout. Card data is handled exclusively by Stripe. Access to registration information is limited to the organizers and volunteers who need it to run the event.

10. Children

Our website and registration forms are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Parents register on behalf of their families; if you believe a child has submitted personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to see the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@tyharrisonshope.org. We will honor requests promptly, except where we must keep records for financial, tax, or legal reasons (for example, completed payment records).

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be noted on this page.
