About Us
Our Story
Founded in memory of Ty Harrison, a nonprofit built from grief, love, and the determination that no family should face suicide loss without support.
Who We Are
Ty Harrison’s Hope for Suicide Survivors, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Cresson, Pennsylvania, founded by Ty Harrison’s family after experiencing firsthand the devastating lack of support that follows a suicide loss.
We exist to create what we wish we had, a place filled with guidance, community, and compassion for those left behind. We are survivors too. And we are here for you 24/7, no matter where you are in your journey.
As we raise money to expand our impact and the resources we can provide to the community, everything we build, every ride we host, and every connection we make is done in Ty’s memory and in service of those who are walking the hardest road of their lives.

In Memory of
Ty Harrison
Ty Harrison was more than a name on a nonprofit. He was a son, a friend, and a light to everyone who knew him. His passing on September 16, 2023, left a hole in the hearts of his family and community that can never be filled.
But from that grief came a purpose. We turned our loss into action, determined to make sure that other families never feel as alone and unsupported as we did in the days, weeks, and months after losing him.
Every person we reach is a tribute to Ty, proof that his life mattered and that his memory will continue to create hope for others. Every dollar raised goes towards brining more awareness & professional resources not only to our area, but to everyone in need.

The Story Behind
Ty Harrison’s Hope
September 16, 2023
our world was shattered
On September 16th, 2023, our son Ty took his own life. In the days that followed, we were met with kindness, but also with silence. There was no guidance, no emotional support, no help with the aftermath, not even someone to help with cleaning the property. We were left with unimaginable grief and no direction.
Then, something happened that changed everything. A mother who had also lost her child reached out to me on Facebook. She told me about a man who had helped ease her pain, and that simple act of connection was a turning point. Without her, I truly don’t know where I’d be today, because even now, the days are still incredibly hard.
Since then, other mothers, wives, and loved ones have reached out, and every single one of them said the same thing:
“Every single one of them said the same thing: we didn’t know what to do next. We had no support.”
That’s why we started this nonprofit, to create what we wish we had. A place to turn to. A place filled with guidance for what comes after the unimaginable. A place where people can be heard, supported, and surrounded by others who understand.
We know this will take time to build. But for now, we’re here. We’re on Facebook, and you can message us 24/7 for guidance, support, or just to talk.
You’re not alone.
And you shouldn’t have to walk this road without help.
What We Stand For
Three principles guide everything we do at Ty Harrison’s Hope.
01
No One Walks Alone
Suicide loss is one of the most isolating experiences a person can face. We are committed to making sure every survivor knows they have somewhere to turn, someone to call, and a community behind them.
02
Guidance in the Aftermath
When tragedy strikes, there should be a clear path forward. We provide practical resources, emotional support, and real guidance for the impossible days that follow a suicide loss.
03
Hope Through Community
From our annual ATV ride to our Facebook community, we believe that healing happens together. Every connection we make, every event we host, is a step toward a stronger, more supported community of survivors.
